Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join their team. The Medical Assistant will play a critical role in providing both administrative and clinical support within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Schedule: Handle all patient appointments, check-ins, and check-outs.
- Handle Billing: Verify insurance, update patient info, and collect co-pays or balances.
- Office Support: Answer phones and assist the nursing staff with paperwork.
- Patient Care: Prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and gather medical histories.
- Direct Assistance: Assist doctors with minor surgeries, physicals, and specimen collection.
- Medical Tasks: Administer injections and apply dressings, splints, or casts.
- Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is sterilized and supplies are fully stocked.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant Experience
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- High School Diploma
- BLS Certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred (required within 6 months of start date)
- Experience in Women's Health is preferred
