Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Mail Clerk to efficiently manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. This role requires someone with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism in a 100% on-site setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail for USPS or carriers.
- Maintain mailing supplies and ensure uninterrupted service.
- Follow established processes and compliance requirements (HIPAA, Adverse Events).
- Assist with printing, mailing system testing, and training materials.
- Greet and assist office visitors or vendors.
- Support administrative tasks for meetings, tracking, and reporting.
- Deliver packages to carrier drop-off locations as needed.
- Maintain punctual attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience with healthcare experience.
- Experience with PHI and HIPAA.
- Typing proficiency of at least 25 words per minute.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Preferred: Experience with user acceptance testing or process documentation.
- Preferred: Familiarity with mailing carriers and overnight shipping procedures.
- Preferred: Prior experience developing training materials or documentation.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience with a focus on healthcare industry tasks.
- Proficiency in handling PHI and HIPAA compliance.
Skills
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; Typing proficiency (25 WPM).
- Soft: Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- Full-time, on-site position requiring flexibility to work any assigned 8-hour shift between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
