Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Claims Assistant to handle a variety of tasks related to claims management and administration. The primary responsibilities include setting up new losses, managing communications, documentation of claims, and processing temporary disability and maintenance payment schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up new losses.
- Manage work.comp email box, including voicemails.
- Conduct wage calculations and verify claim info.
- Process and manage subpoenas and related documentation.
- Request and follow up on medical records and work status updates.
- Handle Temporary Total Disability (TTD) & maintenance payment schedules.
- Index queue in Vision platform.
- Manage paper mail and electronic document scanning and upload in the Origami claim system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a claim assistant or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience as a Workers Comp Claims Adjuster Assistant is preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
