Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist responsible for higher-level analytical work in managing and reconciling health plan accounts, processing financial transactions, and resolving payment discrepancies. The role offers a stable hybrid work schedule and an opportunity to work within a professional team focusing on financial health and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Reconciliation: Accurately balance and reconcile health plan accounts receivables.
• Financial Processing: Manage complex financial transactions, including posting payments, processing refunds, and handling write-offs.
• Payment Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve issues related to returned payments or mismatched billing data.
• Billing Inquiries: Respond to specific billing questions from members, which may involve explaining government policies.
• System Navigation: Utilize multiple computer programs to identify outstanding balances and verify payment deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Excel for complex reconciliation tasks.
• Banking background or experience with government policies regarding grace periods preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in finance or banking.
• High school diploma is required.
