Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Patient Account Representative. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and track claim statuses, resolve claim rejections or denials, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations and billing guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track claim statuses, identifying and resolving claim rejections or denials promptly.
- Conduct regular follow-up with insurance companies to check on claim statuses and resolve outstanding issues.
- Review and appeal denied claims as necessary, adhering to deadlines and requirements.
- Maintain updated knowledge of insurance regulations, billing guidelines, and coding updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports related to billing and collections, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume administrative environment.

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Medical billing or coding certificate is preferred.
- Associates degree in healthcare administration, or successfully completed a similar program at a community college is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Opportunity to work hybrid. Stable work through holidays. Possibility to convert after the contract term, though there are no guarantees.
