Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Prior Authorization Representative to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to review physician orders and medical documentation, submit prior authorization requests for cardiology and other specialties, communicate with insurance carriers, and track authorization activities to ensure timely patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and medical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Submit prior authorization requests for various cardiology services and specialty medications.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain approvals or resolve denials.
• Track and follow up on outstanding authorizations to prevent delays in care.
• Document all authorization activities and maintain compliance with payer requirements.
• Work with commercial and government insurances.
• Achieve a goal of 40 claims per day, subject to reevaluation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of prior authorization experience.
• Experience working with commercial insurances.
• Computer proficiency is a must.
• ECW experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

This position operates Monday through Friday, 9-6pm EST, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
