Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager for our client to lead and enhance professional billing and AR operations. The role involves ensuring accurate claim submissions, prompt payments, and overseeing billing activities, accounts receivable follow-up, denial resolution, and vendor performance. The aim is to improve cash flow and reduce revenue loss.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with organizational leadership to set performance targets and strategies for AR performance enhancement.
- Oversee all professional billing and accounts receivable functions, including claim submissions, AR follow-ups, and denial management.
- Develop billing and AR policies, workflows, and procedures.
- Track revenue cycle metrics and ensure timely claim submissions.
- Collaborate with Managed Care to maintain payer relationships and compliance.
- Support finance with month-end revenue processes.
- Evaluate and strategize to reduce denial and revenue loss.
- Lead and manage internal teams and external billing vendors.
- Participate in EHR system implementations affecting billing and AR.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, payer guidelines, and standards.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have healthcare accounts receivable experience.
- At least five years of experience in physician billing and accounts receivable management.
- Proven experience with billing EHR systems and practice management platforms.
- Strong understanding of payer requirements and accounts receivable best practices.
- Professional certifications in revenue cycle or healthcare finance preferred.
