Referral Coordinator (Remote)
Pay Rate: $21.64 per hour
Schedule: Flexible 8-hour shift within the window of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM MST

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Referral Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage the "front-end" referral process, primarily supporting VA Dallas (70% of volume) along with several other states. You will be responsible for high-volume data entry and processing within Salesforce and other specialized medical systems, ensuring veterans receive timely access to the care they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Referral Processing: Manage a high volume of incoming referrals across multiple systems and workflows with speed and precision.
- Data Integrity: Review, enter, and validate referral information to ensure 100% accuracy and completeness.
- Strategic Routing: Identify the appropriate pathway for each referral based on established clinical and administrative guidelines.
- Quality Control: Proactively flag incomplete or incorrect information for follow-up to prevent delays in care.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to standardized workflows and production targets while handling sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI).
Required Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience specifically in Medical Referrals.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in high-volume data entry and general "tech-savviness."
- Soft Skills: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; must be highly efficient and detail-oriented.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- VA Systems: Experience with VA-specific software, particularly HSRM.
- Platform Expertise: Prior experience using Salesforce and various EMR/EHR systems.
- Specialized Knowledge: Background in Behavioral Health or processing sensitive clinical documentation.
- Remote Ready: Previous experience successfully working in a remote environment.
Important Note: Due to the nature of this role, you will frequently encounter sensitive information, including clinical notes regarding Sexual Assault (SA) and other behavioral health crises. Candidates must be able to process this information professionally without being personally triggered by sensitive medical content.
