Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Records Specialist. This role involves processing high-volume medical record requests, managing clearinghouse activities, ensuring clean claim rates, supporting revenue operations, and accurately indexing records into the EMR system.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high-volume medical record requests while ensuring strict HIPAA compliance.
- Monitoring daily claim transmissions to intercept and correct "front-end" rejections.
- Identifying and correcting data errors to maintain a high "Clean Claim" rate.
- Collaborating with clinical staff to retrieve missing documentation to overturn denials.
- Performing high-speed, high-accuracy indexing of clinical records into the EMR system.
Qualifications
- Medical Records Experience & Revenue Operations Experience
- EMR & Clearinghouse navigation experience (preferred)
Skills
- Experience with EMR systems
- Proficient in navigating Clearinghouse platforms
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Hours Per Week
40 hours per week.
Additional Requirements
- In-office work required for 5 days a week through contract; possible hybrid schedule (2-3 days remote) upon conversion.
- Flexible start times between 7–9am for an 8-hour shift, with a fixed chosen start time.
