Job Summary
Our client seeks a Senior Systems Architect focusing on Interoperability & Infrastructure. This key role involves bridging complex infrastructure (Unix/Windows) and healthcare interoperability, designing, implementing, and optimizing operating environments to ensure seamless data flow via Epic Bridges and HL7 interfaces. The position is highly strategic and serves as a leadership-track requiring sophisticated analytical thought and the ability to mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of Unix and Windows environments and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges, ensuring alignment with long-term enterprise goals.
- Oversee the technical lifecycle of HL7 interfaces and Epic Bridges configurations to ensure robust data exchange.
- Manage project workplans, budgets, and task estimates while directing functional teams and assisting management with coaching and performance appraisals.
- Monitor and tune production, QA, and development systems, installing critical patches and upgrades while ensuring high availability.
- Produce high-level technical designs, program specifications, and user training materials to support ongoing computer operations.
- Translate technical concepts into business value for directors and managers, negotiating with stakeholders to adopt new best practices and architectural directions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in systems architecture or a related technical field.
- Proven expertise in Healthcare/HL7 interfaces.
- Epic Bridges Certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Deep knowledge of Unix and Windows operating system environments.

Additional Requirements
Must pass role-specific software testing within 180 days of employment. The role does not require patient contact and is 100% technical/admin focused.
