The Pharmacy Technician will perform many pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and perform administrative functions of the department that requires professional judgment and extensive technical training.
Shift: Mon-Fri (8:30am-5pm), Onsite
Location: Chester, OH
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00
Setting: Closed-Door Pharmacy
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements.
- Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
- Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security.
- Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
- Enters data into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
- Under direction of pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
- Performs general clerical duties for the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualification Requirements
- Must hold valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license
- Provide the highest level of professionalism, responsiveness, and communication to build and maintain the maximum customer base possible
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and frequently change direction
- Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized programs, and email at a highly proficient level
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of office policies and procedures
- Time management skills
