Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Managed Care Coordinator responsible for engaging with provider offices, understanding the geographical needs of LA County, and supporting managed care projects. The role involves a significant amount of research, outreach through phone calls and letters, and data entry, with the goal of securing provider interest and facility placements.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Engage comfortably with provider's offices through phone calls and correspondence.
- Analyze geographical aspects of LA County for effective provider placement.
- Conduct research, including internet searches and follow-ups, to identify potential providers.
- Assist with file storage, scanning, binder preparation, and organization of confidential files.
- Support managed care projects and meetings.
- Assist with research projects and surveys.
- Perform data entry and research for various projects.
- Prepare and run routine managed care department reports.
- Handle additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- Comfortable with outbound calling in a pre-sales context.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant healthcare experience.
- Familiarity with the LA area geography and the ability to utilize tools to understand it.
- Experience calling into provider offices and previous work in sales or pre-sales, particularly in healthcare, is preferred.
Schedule / Shift
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM. The role requires full-time on-site presence during training, transitioning to a hybrid model (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) after 3-6 months. Candidates must be comfortable using an app on their phone for making calls in a hybrid environment.
