Job Summary
Our client is seeking highly reliable and tenured professionals for a remote contract-to-hire opening. As a Patient Access Scheduler, you will be the first point of contact in the patient care journey, handling back-to-back inbound and outbound calls, gathering demographic information, and scheduling medical appointments. This role requires a focus on efficiency, quality, and a commitment to providing excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls routed automatically through the system.
- Gather patient demographic information, pre-register insurance coverage, and schedule patients for medical appointments.
- Support both hospital and outpatient teams.
- Educate patients on self-service options and provide clear answers to inquiries.
- Maintain a 97% or higher quality score.
- Meet performance metrics: Average of 55 calls per day with a 6.5-minute average handle time.
- Participate in mandatory daily on-camera team huddles and meetings.
Qualifications
- Experience working with EPIC within the last 2 years.
- A quiet, dedicated workspace and comfort being on camera.
- Minimum 25 MBPS internet speed, no hotspots.
- Strong customer service experience & comfortable taking 55+ inbound calls per day.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Skills
- Experience with EPIC and Epic cadence.
- Experience with healthcare scheduling or contact center experience.
- Experience with the Five9 telephony system.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
Additional Requirements
M-F Open 7:30 am-7:30 pm, 8-hour shift within this window aligned to their time zone.
