Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join their team. The primary responsibilities of this role include triaging patient-related messages, assisting with patient issues, maintaining medical records, and providing excellent customer service. The goal is to support the clinical care team in delivering exceptional care and service to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage patient-related messages and questions in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with resolving issues and utilize the clinical care team when necessary.
- Check and disperse daily faxes to the appropriate team member.
- Scan documents and maintain medical records in practice management systems.
- Enter claims for collections on FMLA, Rating Letters, etc.
- Assist with medical record requests as needed.
- Welcome and register patients at check-in, and serve as a role model for patient service.
- Guide patients through intake processes and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and stock of clinic areas.
- Complete transactions using POS systems and reconcile daily collections reports.
- Inform administration of operational problems and patient feedback.
- Provide coverage in multiple office locations as needed.
- Handle the opening and closing of the clinic.
- Verify insurance and benefits for patients.
- Perform any additional duties requested by doctors or management.
- Provide reports as requested by management.
- Attend mandatory staff and clinical meetings.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Engage referral sources to increase clinic awareness in the community.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
- Proficient in using computers, including Excel and team chat platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple provider chats and patient interactions simultaneously.
- High energy and strong customer service skills.
Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive workplace.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and data entry.
- Experience with office equipment, including computers, scanners, faxes, and phone systems.
- Prior knowledge of insurance and insurance benefits.
- General typing skills.
