Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Representative to manage and facilitate the delivery and installation of medical equipment. This role involves significant travel to interact directly with patients, ensuring they can effectively use the equipment provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel domestically via car and plane 75% of the time, primarily in the Midwest and Southwest regions.
- Home almost all weekends; frequently spend the whole business week at a traveled-to location.
- Schedule flights, hotels, and car rentals using a company card in compliance with the expense policy.
- Manage expense reports.
- Deliver and install medical equipment, including orthotic equipment and rental cold therapy/passive motion machines, to patients' homes, clinics, and care facilities.
- Interact with patients to ensure their ability to use equipment and provide hands-on demonstrations.
- Complete admin/phone work with a provided tablet.
- Perform light inventory in a warehouse setting.
- Clean equipment as necessary and communicate with the local Service Supervisor.
- Work locally out of a warehouse when not traveling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel to patients' homes.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and flying to new locations for a week at a time.
- Physical ability to move equipment up to 60 pounds.
- Proof of insurance with required coverages.
Experience
- Preferred healthcare background in areas like Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or Clinical.
Skills
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with patients.
- Self-motivated to work independently.
Additional Requirements
- Travel domestically 75% of the time, comfortably managing flights and accommodations.
