Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their fast-paced, outpatient urology clinic. As a key member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse will independently manage a daily patient schedule and perform essential clinical tasks to ensure optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs both in-clinic and via phone to determine appropriate care and disposition.
- Independently manage a daily patient schedule (approx. 10–12 patients/day).
- Perform indwelling and suprapubic catheter changes.
- Administer bladder medications as needed.
- Communicate provider treatment plans, including lab and imaging results.
- Document all patient care and communication in Epic EMR.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, PAs, and care team members to coordinate care.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health management.
- Assist with triage and occasional response to adverse events (infrequent).
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical supplies.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific).
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience performing indwelling and suprapubic catheter changes.
- Urology experience highly preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience.
Skills
- Proficiency with Epic EMR.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Experience working independently in a clinic setting.
Additional Requirements
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm!
