Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Representative who will play a vital role in managing patient schedules and pre-registration processes, ensuring both patient and physician satisfaction. The primary responsibility is to handle insurance verification with a strong focus on facilitating outpatient services, aligning with institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally interview and schedule patients for outpatient services, including pre-registration.
- Coordinate patient schedules to maximize patient and physician satisfaction.
- Communicate patient instructions, physician order requirements, and authorization needs to relevant parties.
- Maintain scheduling and pre-registration accuracy according to department standards.
- Create estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect applicable payments.
- Initiate processes to ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and handle complex cases appropriately.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of healthcare experience, with a preference for backgrounds in Insurance Verification or Radiology Scheduling.
- Advanced knowledge of PPO/HMO/Government payers and specific authorization nuances in Radiology.
- Proficiency in managing high-volume call centers with professionalism.
- Technical literacy, including medical terminology and EMR systems.
- Expertise in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is preferred.
- Prior experience within a dedicated Radiology Center is advantageous.

Additional Requirements
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
