## Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician responsible for setting up and operating ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations according to specifications. The technician will guide patients through the examination process, maintain records of test results, and ensure the production of high-quality images of internal organs for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities
- Select equipment for use in ultrasound setup according to specifications of examination.
- Explain process to patient, instruct, and assist them in assuming the proper physical position for examination.
- Select transducer and adjust equipment controls based on organ examination requirements.
- Input test data and patient information into the ultrasound computer system.
- Monitor the quality of the ultrasonic pattern while scanning the specified area of the body.
- Produce images and record diagnostic data using various media.
- Photograph images or print results to maintain a permanent record of the examination.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Ultrasound specialty training certification (ARDMS), active BLS training required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Abdominal, OB/GYN ultrasound examinations.
- Vascular experience is a plus.
