Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Key responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR, assisting in patient examinations, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.).
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation into the EMR.
• Assists medical staff with patient examinations.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and stocks, and sterilizes instruments.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization information.
• Participates in development activities and maintains affiliations with medical assistant associations.
• Commitment to preventative health care programs and team-based approach.
• Front office duties including reception, patient check-in/check-out, and electronic scheduling.
• May perform routine screening tests and draw patient blood samples.
• Prepares and administers ordered injectable medications and immunizations.
• Changes dressings, applies bandages, removes sutures, and performs other first aid procedures.
• Assists patients with scheduling internal/external referrals.
• Certain clients and health centers may require travel.

Qualifications

• MA experience, preferably in family practice.
• MA diploma/certification is preferred.
