Medical Biller / Payment Poster

About:

We are partnering with a specialty clinic in Northwest Houston to hire a Medical Biller / Payment Poster to join their Revenue Cycle team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of the full revenue cycle who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details:

• Location: Fully onsite – Houston, TX (77065)
• Pay: $17–$21/hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Dress Code: Business casual
• Type: Contract-to-hire (520 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

Liaison Work:

• Handle claim clarifications
• Audit dispensed DME and injections
• Generate monthly provider reports

Payment Posting:

• Post settlement payments from Letters of Protection (LOPs)
• Process rheumatology infusion payments (under company Tax ID)

Administrative Support:

• Participate in shared voicemail rotation
• Respond to patient portal inquiries
• Manage emails related to billing discrepancies

Workflow & Auditing:

• Review spreadsheets and perform audits
• Ensure accurate revenue capture through detailed follow-up

Qualifications/ Must Have Experience:

• 1–3 years in a medical office setting
• Experienced with EMR systems 
• Good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
• Understanding of EOBs, payment posting, and full-cycle Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
• High School Diploma (minimum)
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Reliable and punctual
• Calm, compassionate, and professional when handling patient concerns
