Job Summary
Our client is seeking a full-time Nuc Med/ CT Technologist to perform routine and advanced PET/CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses or injuries. This role requires minimal supervision or repeats.
Responsibilities
- Screens patients before the procedure for precautions or contraindications.
- Explains procedures, positions patients, and provides support during PET/CT procedures.
- Assesses, prepares, records, and administers radio pharmaceuticals according to regulatory standards.
- Performs and records daily quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots and reports equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Will do SPECT, PET and CT scans
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Qualifications
- NYS License required, CT and Nuclear Medicine.
- NMTCB or ARRT registry, current and in good standing.
- Preferred: PET/CT Tech experience in the diagnostic and treatment of patients.
