Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and billing patients as appropriate. The role involves working directly with insurance companies, providers, and patients to ensure claims are processed and paid. The position also supports billing staff by providing guidance and answering questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial medical claim submissions and complete itemized bills and charge entry/billing edits as applicable.
- Perform accounts receivable follow-up, reviewing EOBs to identify errors.
- Communicate with clients, patients, and insurance companies regarding claims.
- Answer inquiries from patients, insurance companies, or clients.
- Identify trends and address any medical billing issues.
- Facilitate teamwork to achieve group A/R follow-up goals.
- Report issues and propose improvements to Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Maintain consistent communication with team members.
- Support billing staff with guidance on processes and procedures.
- Adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of client policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Support training and onboarding of clients as needed.
