Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant responsible for performing a variety of both clinical and administrative tasks. This role involves assisting physicians with patient care, managing clerical duties, and ensuring that patients benefit from clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Check schedules, prepare charts, and organize patient flow;
- Collect patient history including medications and reasons for visit, chart in EMR;
- Check vital signs and perform EKGs;
- Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and order supplies;
- Assist with minor procedures and perform CLIA waived tests;
- Manage medical records, obtain lab and test results;
- Propose medication renewals within patient charts;
- Ensure patient results are reviewed in a timely manner;
- Support care coordination and participate in quality improvement initiatives;
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR;
- Respond to clinical emergencies and participate in staff meetings and education;
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of a Medical Assistant.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience
- Certificate preferred
