Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their practice. The Office Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for managing office staff, ensuring efficient patient flow, and maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations and delegate authority to assigned staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-term work plans for clerical functions.
- Support staff in understanding and implementing clinical policies and procedures.
- Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of clerical staff.
- Establish and maintain an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
- Manage office supply inventory and ensure proper mail processing procedures are followed.
- Support and uphold established policies, procedures, and objectives, including quality improvement and safety standards.
- Oversee and approve office invoices for timely submission to accounting.
- Provide schedule input into Cerner and manage necessary schedule changes for providers.
- Address patient concerns and communicate with the billing supervisor to correct billing errors.
- Manage and approve employees' biweekly payroll.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, including 2 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
- Manager or Supervisor experience required.
