Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Liaison to address patient inquiries regarding symptoms, treatment protocols, and medications while providing essential technical guidance via telephone. The role involves coordinating physician-ordered diagnostics, managing the prescription lifecycle, and maintaining the integrity of the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Additionally, the Patient Liaison will provide support as an ophthalmic technician during clinic hours and process specialized administrative documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Address patient inquiries and provide technical guidance over the phone.
- Coordinate end-to-end diagnostics, including securing insurance pre-authorizations.
- Communicate diagnostic results to patients.
- Manage prescription lifecycles and facilitate outgoing referrals.
- Maintain the integrity of the Electronic Health Record by gathering external medical files.
- Provide hands-on ophthalmic support and process administration documents like FMLA and Worker's Compensation paperwork.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 1+ years of experience in a front office or back office role.
- 1+ year of MA experience.
- Experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of eye anatomy, testing, and disease terminology.
- Strong data entry skills.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in managing Electronic Health Records.

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to float with Dr. Kim to five different locations, with compensation for travel.
