Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Front Desk Coordinator to be the welcoming face of the practice. This role necessitates managing patient flow, ensuring accurate administrative data entry, and providing a professional environment to enhance patient satisfaction through effective communication and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Concierge: Greet patients warmly, manage the check-in/check-out process, and provide necessary intake paperwork.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate complex appointment calendars, manage "no-shows," and handle high-volume multi-line phone systems.
- Insurance Verification: Confirm eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, and update patient demographics in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.
- Financial Handling: Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service; maintain an accurate daily cash drawer.
- Records Management: Process medical record requests and ensure all patient information is handled in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Office Maintenance: Keep the reception area tidy and monitor front-office supply inventory.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of healthcare admin experience
- Ability to work in a busy practice seeing 70-100 patients a day

Schedule/Shift
Mon-Fri: 8:15am-4:45pm with occasional assistance needed for closing the office 2-3 days per week. Closing could be anywhere from 5:30-6:30 after the last patient has been seen.
