Job Summary
Our client is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-volume trauma imaging services in a busy Level 4 Trauma ER. The primary responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting Siemens and Canon/Toshiba CT scanners, executing complex CT procedures, and collaborating with ER physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary tech for high-volume trauma imaging in a Level 4 Trauma ER.
- Independently operate and troubleshoot Siemens and Canon/Toshiba CT scanners.
- Execute complex CT procedures, including CT Angiography (CTA) and trauma-related protocols.
- Maintain proactive communication with ER physicians and nursing staff.
- Screen patients and administer oral or IV contrast media according to protocols.
- Manage imaging lifecycle within Epic and Agfa systems.
- Support Main Imaging Department and ER CT suite to maintain department flow.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and Texas Medical Board (TMB) requirements.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- ARRT(CT) Certification.
- Texas Medical Board (TMB) Registration.
Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens and Canon/Toshiba CT scanners is preferred.
- Experience using EPIC is preferred.
