Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Billing Customer Service Representative to engage with patients regarding their billing inquiries. The primary focus is on managing patient calls, addressing billing questions, and updating accounts. Strong understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and effective communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle 30-60 inbound calls from patients and providers concerning billing and insurance queries.
- Conduct outbound calls to insurance companies and doctor's offices as required.
- Document call details using the claim system and resolve billing issues quickly.
- Process payments and establish payment plans over the phone.
- Efficiently navigate multiple systems and screens during calls.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of call center experience handling phone queues.
- Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare billing and terminology.
- Knowledge of EOBs.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Flexibility to work any 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM). Training will be conducted Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM for 5-6 weeks. Mandatory overtime may occur on a weekday basis based on staffing needs.
