Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to oversee production shifts and ensure seamless operations. This role involves direct oversight of job assignments and process troubleshooting, with a strong focus on meeting project timelines and adherence to safety regulations. The Supervisor will play a key role in training and developing operators, maintaining safety and production standards, and acting as a lead operator when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct oversight to production shifts, including job assignments and process troubleshooting to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain strict adherence to cGMP and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) regulations. Ensure all activities align with corporate ethical standards and governmental policies.
- Coordinate training and development for operators, fostering a motivated environment focused on long-term growth and safety.
- Act as the lead operator when necessary; perform and train staff on intricate manufacturing processes and specialized equipment.
- Manage shift logistics, including overtime coordination, vacation requests, and maintenance scheduling (Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work permits, etc.).
- Lead root-cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and investigate production variances.
- Assist management in upholding the Site Quality System, including the management of deviations and updates to process documentation.
- Act as the initial Incident Commander for the site during emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all personnel and assets.
Qualifications
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of early-phase development and the handling of highly potent APIs.
- Deep familiarity with cGMP requirements and safety protocols for hazardous or high-stakes manufacturing.
- Ability to act as the sole management authority on-site during nights and weekends, making critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a "Lead by Example" mentality to drive continuous improvement through Leader Standardized Work.
Skills
- Technical skills in managing manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, such as 5S or Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
