Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Counselor with a focus on out-patient and residential social work. The primary responsibilities include facilitating psychotherapy sessions, managing a caseload, and coordinating virtual sessions via Zoom. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and be able to maintain professional boundaries with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitating in-person and virtual psychotherapy sessions, and handling the case management process.
• Providing individual case management and counseling sessions in line with the individualized treatment plan.
• Coordinating integrated services with various medical, mental health, and social service providers.
• Completing detailed progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with OASAS and CARF standards.
• Maintaining clinical charts and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Submitting regular reports through the Substance Abuse Tracking and Reporting System.
• Engaging in effective advocacy for clients and expanding referral networks.
• Participating in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.

Qualifications

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
• Experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment
• Ability to lead group sessions
• Strong communication skills; organized and flexible team player
