Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Overnight Maintenance & Safety Associate responsible for maintaining safety, security, and performing basic maintenance during overnight hours at a Substance Abuse & Wellness Center. An active F-07 Certificate of Fitness is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure facility during overnight hours.
- Conduct routine walkthroughs and safety checks throughout the building.
- Serve as the designated Fire Guard for impairment (F-07) when required.
- Monitor fire safety systems and ensure compliance with fire safety protocols.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, light electrical work, and general upkeep.
- Address facility issues and escalate urgent concerns to leadership.
- Ensure exits, hallways, and common areas remain clear and safe.
- Respond to maintenance or safety needs that occur overnight.
- Maintain logs of overnight rounds, safety checks, and any incidents or repairs completed.
- Support a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients receiving services.
Qualifications
- Active F-07 Certificate of Fitness required.
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or handyman work.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and minor repairs.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in healthcare, residential treatment, or behavioral health facilities.
- Familiarity with building safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
