Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Overnight Maintenance & Safety Associate responsible for maintaining safety, security, and performing basic maintenance during overnight hours at a Substance Abuse & Wellness Center. An active F-07 Certificate of Fitness is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure facility during overnight hours.
• Conduct routine walkthroughs and safety checks throughout the building.
• Serve as the designated Fire Guard for impairment (F-07) when required.
• Monitor fire safety systems and ensure compliance with fire safety protocols.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, light electrical work, and general upkeep.
• Address facility issues and escalate urgent concerns to leadership.
• Ensure exits, hallways, and common areas remain clear and safe.
• Respond to maintenance or safety needs that occur overnight.
• Maintain logs of overnight rounds, safety checks, and any incidents or repairs completed.
• Support a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients receiving services.

Qualifications

• Active F-07 Certificate of Fitness required.
• Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or handyman work.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and minor repairs.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in healthcare, residential treatment, or behavioral health facilities.
• Familiarity with building safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
