Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Patient Access Representative to work in a high-paced ER environment. The primary responsibilities include documenting patient information, verifying insurance details, and obtaining pre-authorizations when necessary.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Document patient demographic information, along with insurance information, and collect co-pays as needed.
• Scanning relevant documents into the system including insurance card, ID, etc.
• Obtain pre-authorizations when necessary.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working in a high-paced ER environment seeing 200+ patients per day in some cases.
• Candidate should have 3+ years of prior patient access experience.
• Strong insurance verification experience, with an emphasis on government payers (Medicare, Medi-Cal, etc.).
• Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus.

Tue - Sat, 3pm - 11:30pm
