Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Representative to work in a high-paced ER environment. The primary responsibilities include documenting patient information, verifying insurance details, and obtaining pre-authorizations when necessary.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Document patient demographic information, along with insurance information, and collect co-pays as needed.
- Scanning relevant documents into the system including insurance card, ID, etc.
- Obtain pre-authorizations when necessary.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable working in a high-paced ER environment seeing 200+ patients per day in some cases.
- Candidate should have 3+ years of prior patient access experience.
- Strong insurance verification experience, with an emphasis on government payers (Medicare, Medi-Cal, etc.).
- Preferred: Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus.
