We are seeking a high-level, independent Full-Cycle Medical Biller to manage revenue cycle operations. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision, ensuring that claims flow seamlessly, payments are posted accurately, and AR remains lean.
As we implement new clients and systems, you will act as a vital partner in maintaining the financial health of assigned practices while enjoying the flexibility of a results-driven, remote environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday business hours within your time zone
- Location: 100% Remote (Work from Home). Targeted states are Ohio, Florida, Colorado, and Arizona
- Start Date: Target start date of April 1st
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire lifecycle of a claim, including daily charge review/posting, payment posting (ERA and manual), and aggressive AR management.
- System Mastery: Navigate Tebra (Kareo) for PM and Practice Fusion (Veridgm) for EMR. You may also support clients utilizing systems like Open PM, Greenway, and EPIC as needed.
- Claims Excellence: Investigate and resolve denied/rejected claims. Utilize Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools to manage ERA queues effectively.
- Process Development: Assist in developing and maintaining practice-specific billing rules and SOPs, especially during the "go-live" phase of new clients.
- Quality Assurance: Perform detailed QA on claims
- Client Relations: Maintain professional relationships with practice owners, ensuring a 15–16 day AR average for primary care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of full-cycle medical billing experience across various specialties (Primary Care or General Surgery experience is a major plus).
- Payer Knowledge: Proficient in the nuances of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial insurance carriers.
- Technical Literacy: Strong background in EMR/PM systems; ability to interpret op notes, radiology results, and EOBs for billing accuracy. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required.
- Certification: CPB (Certified Professional Biller) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) is preferred but not required.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight. We are looking for a "self-starter" who sets their own deadlines to meet company goals.
