Job Summary
Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Call Center Representative to expertly manage a high volume of patient calls. This role is pivotal in assisting with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and general inquiries in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a large volume of incoming calls while providing courteous, professional, and compassionate assistance to patients.
- Confirm and update patient demographic details, insurance information, and referral documentation.
- Coordinate patient appointments by scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming visits in accordance with office procedures.
- Accurately record and update patient data within the electronic medical records system.
- Direct calls and relay messages to the appropriate team members or departments.
- Inform patients of any instructions or preparations required prior to their appointments.
- Ensure patient privacy is protected and maintain full compliance with HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- High call volume experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on patient service.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks efficiently while staying composed in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in computer use and typing, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience in orthopedic or general medical office settings is a plus.
