Job Summary
Our client seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to join their operating room team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons and other medical personnel to ensure smooth surgical procedures and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures.
- Set up surgical instruments and equipment before operations.
- Follow hospital regulations and procedures during pre-operation.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
- Assist in patient transport to the operating room and positioning on the table.
- Support the surgical team by passing instruments and assisting with gowns and gloves.
- Help operate sterilizers, lights, or suction machines, and transfer patients post-surgery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- 1 year of surgical tech experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills
- Ability to demonstrate care appropriate to the age of patients.
- Knowledge and skills in the nursing process.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
