Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive professional nursing care in accordance with recognized standards and departmental policies. The primary goal of this position is to assess patient health status, implement nursing care plans, and ensure continuity of care in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain current and comprehensive professional knowledge in alignment with nursing standards and policies.
- Conduct assessments of patients’ physiological and psychosocial health status.
- Evaluate and document pain levels, complete patient history, and report pertinent information to staff.
- Document patient information legibly in records and ensure proper use of professional title.
- Identify patient outcomes, establish nursing diagnoses, and set mutually acceptable patient and family goals.
- Formulate and implement patient care plans customized to individual needs.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and respond to emergencies efficiently.
- Adhere to legal and ethical healthcare guidelines and demonstrate accountability in nursing actions.
- Perform preoperative communication, documentation, and aseptic techniques effectively.
- Assist surgeons during procedures and verify patient identity and surgical site per policy.
- Participate in professional nursing organizations.
Qualifications
- 6 months of OR experience required.
- Surgical specialty experience is preferred.
Hours Per Week
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
