Join Our Team: Nursing Intake Specialist (RN or LVN)
Location: Plano, TX (Onsite – Brand New Office Space) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Compensation: $24.00 - $38.00/hr (Range is flexible based on experience)
Why Join Us?
This is the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door of a rapidly growing organization in the Home Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy space. While we are a high-revenue organization, we maintain a "scrappy," start-up mentality where every voice matters.
-
Growth Potential: Our leadership team has grown alongside the company; we prioritize promoting from within and expanding your career path.
-
The "Family" Approach: We believe the people we serve are so much more than patients—they are members of our family.
-
Collaborative Autonomy: We are looking for teammates who thrive in an environment that is collaborative yet independent. We need "roll-up-your-sleeves" problem solvers.
The Role: Impact & Coordination
The Nursing Intake Specialist is the bridge between a patient’s diagnosis and their first successful home treatment. Because home infusion involves high-cost drugs and complex insurance landscapes, this role is a vital mix of clinical support and administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Clinical Review: Evaluate new patient files, including diagnoses, treatment plans, medication dosing, lab results, and potential drug interactions.
-
The First Impression: Act as the primary clinical point of contact for new patients, ensuring their first experience with our pharmacy is positive, clear, and empathetic.
-
Care Coordination: Seamlessly manage communication between prescribing physicians, internal pharmacy teams, field infusion nurses, and caregivers.
-
Patient Education: Lead conversations regarding how infusions work, side effect management, and infection prevention.
-
Insurance Support: Assist in justifying medical necessity to ensure patients get the life-changing therapies they need.
Who You Are
-
Licensed Professional: Active RN or LVN/LPN license.
-
Empathetic Leader: You can navigate difficult conversations with patients dealing with chronic diseases while maintaining a high level of empathy and clinical authority.
-
Specialty Knowledge: Experience in Infusion/Specialty Pharmacy is a plus, but we also value backgrounds in Rheumatology, Immunology, or Neurology.
-
Adaptable: You are comfortable working onsite in a brand-new, modern office and are ready to tackle the "scrappy" challenges of a growing business.
Training & Environment
-
Onboarding: We are committed to your success. Training may involve a brief period of travel to our regional training site or dedicated onsite mentorship at our Plano office.
-
Workspace: Enjoy working in a beautiful, newly built-out office space. Please note: This is an onsite position to foster our collaborative culture; no hybrid options are available.
