Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant responsible for handling the A/P area, including vendor setup, disbursements, and payment processing. The role includes maintaining reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Serve as full charge of the A/P area, including vendor setup and payment processing.
• Process accounts payable in an accurate manner, ensuring proper approvals.
• Maintain master vendor files and resolve payment disputes.
• Reconcile A/P accounts and prepare necessary financial reports.
• Manage intercompany accounts and ensure cash flow compliance.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with external agencies and vendors.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Education

• High School Degree is required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and government contract accounting.
• Demonstrated skills in automated accounts payable systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to acquire new skills and knowledge as needed.

Additional Requirements

• Must possess a current California driver’s license and applicable insurance.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required on the first day of work.

Schedule / Shift

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, 5 days a week on-site.
