Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join a rehab team. The role involves completing evaluations, providing evidence-based therapy interventions, managing swallow assessments, documenting services, educating residents and staff, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Complete evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions aligned with resident goals and care needs.
- Conduct bedside swallow assessments and develop dysphagia management plans.
- Document services accurately and timely per facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies, safety techniques, and therapy programs.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, nursing, and medical staff.
Skills
- Technical skills in speech-language pathology and dysphagia management.
- Soft skills in communication, teamwork, and education.
