Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their Orthopedic Service Line within a large, integrated health system. This role involves providing advanced clinical care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered musculoskeletal care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for orthopedic patients.
• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, spine conditions, and sports-related injuries.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Perform procedures within the scope of practice such as joint injections, aspirations, splinting, casting, and wound care.
• Provide preoperative evaluations and postoperative follow-up care.
• Participate in inpatient rounding, consultations, and discharge planning.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with NJ state regulation.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) licensure.
• Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology NP, Family NP, or Acute Care NP.
• CDS and DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certification (as required by department).

Skills

• Strong clinical capabilities in diagnosing and managing orthopedic conditions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams.
