Pain Management Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Position Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) will work under physician supervision to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced interventional pain management setting. This role includes independent follow-up visits (consistent with Incident-to guidelines), care plan development, patient education, and clinical support in both routine and urgent scenarios.
Key Responsibilities

Obtain detailed patient medical histories and perform physical examinations as assigned by the supervising physician.

Conduct independent follow-up visits in alignment with Incident-to guidelines.

Accurately update and maintain patient records during each visit.

Analyze diagnostic test results to determine follow-up care and treatment options.

Develop and implement care plans under physician supervision, assessing patient responses and modifying treatment as needed.

Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care strategies.

Respond effectively in medical emergencies, following drug protocols and utilizing emergency equipment.

Maintain productivity metrics while delivering exceptional patient care.

Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a safe clinical environment.

Perform administrative duties as needed, including documentation and log maintenance.

Adhere to all federal and state regulations, HIPAA, OSHA guidelines, and internal compliance policies.
Required Qualifications

Active and valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.

Master’s Degree from an accredited program.

Current NCCPA certification (for PAs).

Valid (or eligible) state licensure, DEA, and NPI.

Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Strong knowledge of EMR systems (experience with Centricity or Modernizing Medicine preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.

Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and best practices.
