Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Advanced Specialist to join their clinical team. The primary responsibilities include providing clinical insight and education to patients, instructing on the safe and appropriate use of home respiratory and other equipment, and supporting the continuum of care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, personal care, symptom recognition, equipment uses, and care through various methods including phone calls and in-person visits.
- Complete daily tasks such as general follow-ups, NIV setups, and home visits, and participate in on-call duties as needed.
- Create and oversee care plans, communicate with healthcare professionals and resolve patient care issues.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment and services, assist with quality control and daily operations of the Clinical Outcomes Team.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
- Remain updated on professional licensure or certification requirements.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Professional licensure or certification as a Certified, Registered, or Licensed Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse (CRT, RRT, RN, LPN).
- Six months’ experience in a clinical services role.
- Preferred: CPAP/BPAP experience.
Skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to manage patient care and resolve issues proactively.
Additional Requirements
- Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM schedule.
