Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians and healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will perform both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
- Remove sutures, change dressings, and provide wound care.
- Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control standards.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars.
- Verify insurance and process referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records (EHR/EMR systems).
- Handle phone calls, patient inquiries, and prescription refill requests.
- Process billing and collect copayments as needed.

Additional Requirements
Candidates must be commutable to both Southampton and Uniondale. Mileage reimbursement can be offered at times. Schedule is M-F between the hours of 8am-5pm.
