Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as an initial point of contact within their health system. This role is crucial in shaping the patient and family experience by ensuring accurate patient registration and clear communication of patient responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and families within the health system.
• Secure accurate patient information during the registration process.
• Interpret and communicate patient responsibilities clearly to patients.
• Ensure accurate patient identification to maintain operational integrity.
• Greet customers with a smile and address them by name in a courteous manner.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns effectively.
• Adapt to changes in the work environment and meet shift expectations.
• Handle challenging customer interactions with professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience within Revenue Cycle is preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) EPIC, is preferred.
