Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Float Medical Assistant for their Metairie and Downtown medical buildings. The role involves traveling between multiple specialty clinics and providing back-office support such as triage, rooming patients, chart preparation, and administering injections. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to varying specialty needs each week, and may be involved in community flu clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to and work at multiple medical facilities, including internal medicine, behavioral health, urology, cardiology, and more.
- Assist with all back office duties including triage, rooming patients, and injections.
- Prepare charts and support flue clinics for students and the community.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and car insurance.
- High school diploma or higher education required.
- Certified Medical Assistant, MA diploma, or relevant MA experience required.
- BLS certification required (does not need to be through AHA).
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare settings.
- Experience with injections is required.
- Experience with EPIC is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- In-person interviews.
- OIG, SAM, background check, drug screen, and education verification checks.
- Reimbursement available if travel locations change mid-day.
Schedule/Shift
Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
