Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated A/R Representative to manage and resolve accounts in a healthcare environment. This role involves ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of claims and adherence to HIPAA and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage assigned accounts to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Follow up with insurance payers regarding unpaid or underpaid claims.
- Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
- Submit corrected claims or required documentation to payers as needed.
- Document account activity accurately in the billing system.
- Identify trends in denials or payment delays and escalate when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with billing, coding, and front-end teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience in revenue cycle, medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare administration.
- General knowledge of medical claims lifecycle (submission, adjudication, payment, denial).
- Understanding of insurance types (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
