Job Description
Medix is currently seeking a dedicated Clinician (QMHP or LCSW) for a travel assignment at a partner residential treatment system in Oregon. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential mental health services across three distinct residential treatment facilities, ranging from 5 to 16 bed facilities.
These residential facilities are specifically designed to support individuals living with persistent mental health illnesses. By assisting residents with daily activities—such as bathing, cooking, and medication management—our staff provides a level of attention and care that minimizes the need for critical care interventions. This proactive approach keeps residents safe and healthy while ensuring they lead fulfilling lives.
As a travel clinician through Medix, you will play a vital role in supporting residents’ recovery and stability within a supportive, community-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services to clients within three residential treatment facilities.
- Participate in a crisis on-call rotation (approximately once every four months), providing after-hours coverage for a full 7-day period.
- Support a holistic care model; our staff provides regular outings and activities to keep residents engaged with the community, ranging from group walks and musical performances to whitewater rafting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and treatment plans in accordance with facility and state standards.
- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all residents.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Oregon (OR) state licensure is required.
- Certification: Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) status or higher (e.g., LCSW).
- Experience: Previous experience in crisis intervention is preferred.
- Commitment: Ability to fulfill the 26 or 52-week contract duration and participate in the required on-call rotation.
Benefits and Highlights
- Client-Provided Housing: Housing is provided by the facility for the duration of the assignment.
- On-Call Pay: Additional compensation for on-call hours, with premium rates for holiday on-call and 1.5x pay for call-backs (subject to overtime eligibility).
- Paid Sick Leave: Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances.
- Health Benefits / Dental / Vision: Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
- 401k: Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1.
