Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Collector to manage claims recovery and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. The primary goals are proactive follow-up on outstanding claims, revenue negotiation, and resolution, and acting as a professional liaison with stakeholders.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Strategic Claims Recovery: Proactive follow-up on outstanding claims and appeals, including the preparation of custom appeal letters to overturn denials and secure payment.
- Revenue Negotiation & Resolution: Ability to negotiate single settlements with carriers and identify appropriate write-offs or refund requests in accordance with department guidelines.
- Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge: Ensuring all collection activities from insurers and patients strictly adhere to CLIA, OIG, and other legal healthcare requirements.
- Professional Stakeholder Liaison: Serving as a primary contact for insurance reps and medical offices to resolve billing inquiries and retrieve essential medical records for claim reviews.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of prior collections experience in the Lab or DME space.
- Strong understanding of a complex payer mix (commercial and government accounts).
- EMR and Excel experience is a must-have.
- High volume, as well as high-dollar claim experience.
- Desire to be a top performer, as there is a lucrative quarterly bonus potential (up to $10,000+ per quarter in additional compensation).

M-F, 8am-5pm onsite
