Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Biller to manage the entire claim lifecycle, ensure data accuracy, verify insurance, and facilitate communication across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring successful submission of claims by managing interface errors and resolving upfront rejections.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Claim Lifecycle Management: Proficiency in generating electronic and paper claims, managing interface errors, and resolving upfront rejections to ensure successful submission.
- Data Accuracy & QC: High attention to detail for performing quality control on Salesforce orders, transferring data to billing systems, and extracting precise data from pathology reports.
- Insurance Verification & Coding: Expertise in verifying patient eligibility and medical benefits, identifying ICD-10 codes, and ensuring all coverage criteria meet specific payor policies.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Strong communication skills to interface with insurance reps, medical offices, and internal teams to gather missing information and escalate complex billing issues.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of prior healthcare billing experience
- Strong understanding of a complex payer mix (commercial and government accounts)
- EMR and Excel experience
- Comfortable working in a high volume/fast-paced environment.
- Desire to be a top performer, as there is quarterly bonus potential.
Schedule / Shift
M-F, 8am-5pm onsite
