Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Credentialing Specialist responsible for end-to-end provider credentialing and recredentialing as it pertains to professional services. The role involves working with various types of providers, managing credentialing applications, and coordinating with contract managers to address payer delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for end to end provider credentialing and recredentialing.
- Work with various types of providers (MDs, APPs, etc.).
- Handle credentialing through various payors (government and commercial).
- Prepare, submit, and track credentialing applications to all payors.
- Maintain accurate provider files and credentialing records.
- Coordinate with contracts manager to identify and escalate payer delays impacting billing readiness and network participation.
- Serve as the credentialing point of contact for payor communications.
- Communicate credentialing status to operational stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in provider credentialing for professional services in Washington State.
- Experience with a vast payer mix (CMS, commercial, etc.).
- Experience working with multiple provider types (APP, physician, clinical research).
- Payer portal experience across multiple payers.
- Preferred: Credentialing management experience.
Skills
- Technical skills including proficiency with payer portals.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
